Textile Wire

CDP is situated in Yorkshire, the heart of UK textile manufacturing, so we have had many years of experience of working closely with the textile industry. Our sections are used by textile processors and machinery builders for the purpose of carding and combing raw wool and other material in to fibre. The two main sections are ‘interlocking’ and ‘non-interlocking’ wire and they are generally 0.15% to 0.55% carbon. As the Textile Industry has now progressively expanded in other areas of the world CDP is now cooperating with many users of textile wires in Europe as well as in Asia and the Far East.

Shape

Wires cover a range of non-standard profiles and are produced to meet customer specifications.

Design

We have an in-house Design facility for developing new sections, if required.

Steel Grades

Either specific steel grades or industry standards are available. We can source a very wide range of steels, so please ask!

Presentation

We can supply in coils from 100 kgs up to 2000kgs depending on the customer requirement. See Packaging Information for more details.
