Cold Drawn Products (CDP) has been manufacturing precision section wire for over 50 years. It has 2 production plants both located in Bradford, West Yorkshire in the UK. In 2006 CDP was acquired by Bekaert, the largest wire manufacturer in the world.

CDP produces a wide range of precision section, flat and trapezoidal wire using its cold drawing, hot rolling and cold rolling expertise gained over the years. CDP wire is used extensively in many areas of industry, in particular in the:

CDP special profile wires offer significant, cost-effective solutions to all these industries and many besides. Instead of using machined, forged or die cast parts by using CDP wire sections, made in intricate shapes and to very tight tolerances, our customers can eliminate many of the machining and related costs they have traditionally incurred, thus achieving substantial cost savings. Customers have the flexibility to purchase in coil or cut lengths, to suit their production process.

CDP, one of the few precision section wire manufacturers in the world, has over the years invested heavily in production plant and heat treatment facilities to secure its place as a market leader in the production of high quality wire at competitive prices.

CDP can produce wire from a wide variety of steel specifications - including mild steel, medium and carbon steels and alloy steels. We purchase our raw material (wire rod) from the most competitive sources worldwide and work in close partnership with our suppliers to secure our supplies and optimise the supply chain process.

CDP has wide experience of international trade, exporting over 60% of its production. CDP, like many of its customers and suppliers, has complied for many years with the strict demands of ISO9001 and has just achieved certification to TS 16949.
